Portuguese for Foreigners Course
Level 2 / CEFR B1

Setting:  On Campus, Sao Paulo.  Due to covid restrictions, classes are currently undertaken online.

Course objectives:  At the end of this course, it is expected that the student will be able to understand more elaborated sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance. He will also communicate on simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Even with some hesitation he will make assumptions and raise hypotheses. It is also expected that he will be able to write and understand simple texts, with a predominance of colloquial language..

Course description:

• Review of Indicative Tenses

• Present, Imperfect and Future (Subjunctive)

• Comparatives and Superlatives

• Object Pronouns

• Indefinite Pronouns

• Imperative

• Augmentatives and Diminutives

• Shopping; clothing and accessories; colloquial expressions; abbreviations; traffic signs.

 

Entry requirements:  Competence in the English language.

Technical requirements:  Laptop/desktop computer; stable high speed internet connection; webcam and microphone.

Google Meets is the online conferencing platform used and supported by Enterprise Language Services.
